Possibilities Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre Aberdeen
At Possibilities Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre Aberdeen, we're here to make the process of obtaining and receiving help more comfortable and to provide you with understanding, support and the methods and skills you need to help you overcome your issues.
Because it's not something people generally openly talk about, it might seem like seeking counselling is an odd thing to do. However, the fact is we're all human beings and we will all struggle and suffer at times. Also, we've seen thousands of people at Possibilities and that seeking counselling when you're experiencing feeling stuck, depression, anxiety, stress, having relationship problems or other issues is a very healthy, helpful and increasingly 'normal' step to take.
It's never too late to seek help. However, it's not unusual to feel a little anxious about taking that first 'brave' step to obtain effective help. As you're reading this, I guess you must be in the process of doing so. So well done! It's a step that more and more people are taking because it works so well for so many.
People repeatedly tell us, they wish they had known how helpful counselling at Possibilities would be and many also wish they had come sooner.

Important News: The Covid-19 situation means that we all have to do our bit to flatten the curve; therefore, at Possibilities we have now completely shifted to online appointments mostly conducted via Skype. We ask that you keep an open mind and roll with this for now. Once people make the adjustment, Skype works very well.
We will revert back to mostly face to face appointments when things improve. Please remember, 'this too shall pass'.
Presentations
Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Possibilities Psychotherapists workshop: 'Co-creating the Dialogical Self using the 'Mirrors of Possibility' Therapeutic Method' at the 'International Conference of the Dialogic Self' in Barcelona has been postponed to next Summer 2021.
Possibilities psychotherapists had the pleasure of presenting two workshops at the recent IFTA World Therapy Congress in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) from 28th to 30th March 2019. The World Therapy Congress was attended by hundreds of psychotherapists from 38 different countries around the world. Possibilities was the only service from North East Scotland presenting.
Our first workshop on 28th March 2019 was entitled - 'A New 'U' in Systemic Bereavement: Undigested Grief, Embodied Stories, Spirituality and CMM' featuring some of the amazing outcomes our clients have achieved using our newly developed approaches.
Our second workshop on 29th March 2019 was called - 'Jazzing with the 'Mirrors of Possibility': Co-creating Magic Moments in Couple Therapy.' This highlighted some new therapeutic techniques we are developing for couples counselling and psychotherapy with individuals.
It was a wonderful Conference. We learned so many new therapy methods and techniques that will greatly benefit our clients and we also made many fantastic new friends.
